The Queenz Of Media are privileged to introduce The amazing writer/director, Donte’ Morrision, and his debut play titled, The Battle.
The Battle is a stage play created to show the devastating effects of personal choices. Set in Washington, D.C., a city noted for having the highest rate of HIV and AIDS in the United States. A production that provides an artistic view of the different ways those inflicted with the disease choose to cope. The Battle shows the trials and tribulations that friendships and relationships endure as a result of the epidemic.
Two dance groups, a Technical dance group and a Vogue dance troupe. Prepare to compete in the major dance competition benefiting HIV and AIDS research. Feeling that their style of dance isn’t enough to win the competition alone. Each group hatches a plan to get the other group to teach them their technique. While preparing for the competition members of each dance group discover new things about their own HIV statuses.
Donte' Morrison
Donte’ Morrison is a actor, writer, director, and producer all rolled in one. Born in Washington, D.C. Donte’ studied theater at such institutions as Duke Ellington School of the Arts and The Theatre Lab. In 2007 Donte’ started a production company simply titled Lade’ Entertainment. Representing management for artist in the fields of acting, modeling, photography, and hip hop (rapping).
The Battle is the first production out the gates for Donte’ Morrison as well as Lade Entertainment. Donte’ has spent the past two years writing the The Battle, and has collaborated with other local D.C. artists creating an amazing production featuring original music by Lonnie Bee. After touring with the stage production, Donte’ plans on developing The Battle into a Film and novel.
